I am 75 and my swing speed has deteriorated over the years and now hovers near 70 mph. Snell advertises this ball as being suitable to golfers with lower swing speeds, so I gave it a try. I found that I really liked it and I get as much distance from it as I can squeeze out of my swing. It's also is soft enough that it is terrific for my putting game, as well. Moreover, it is less expensive than Snell's other golf balls. A good ball for my game at a reasonable price: What more could you ask for?

The ball looks and feels great right out of the box, which is always a plus for me because I get excited to play it ASAP. Started on the chipping green and noticed two things right away: rolls out a bit more than expected and marks up a bit faster. I could work with the former by adjusting my release, but the latter meant I would probably go through them faster than anticipated.
On the course, the ball was definitely higher launch, but I didn’t experience an appreciable difference in distance throughout the round. This is not a negative, mind you, but I already have a high launch swing. What I did notice is that the stopping power for this ball was in the 100-150yds distance onto the green vs anywhere inside 60yds where I couldn’t get it to “hop’n’stop.”
Overall, it was an enjoyable test. The balls I used were a bit scuffed up from the wedge play, so I wouldn’t consider them multi-round use. I think it’s the 3.0 for me!
